When was the last time you planned a girls trip? Today is the day to start planning, you deserve it! According to a MSN article, there is scientific proof that taking a trip with your girlfriends is good for your health. At least once a year I book a getaway for one weekend with at least one or two of my closest friends. I’m a stay at home mom of four kids. I felt rejuvenated after a couple of days out of my normal routine. The last girls trip I planned, my friend and I went to Las Vegas for a weekend. In this blog I will give you a perfect two day itinerary for a weekend with your girls in Vegas.

Las Vegas, Nevada

My friend Racheal and I left Texas early Friday morning, so that we can make the most of our two days away. (Our trip was Friday-Sunday, but Sunday was a travel day).

Planet Hollywood Resort Casino

Tip #1- Plan your hotel carefully. Do you want to stay centrally located? If you stay at a Resort and Casino, you have everything in one spot: slots, shopping, spa, gym, restaurants and a pool. Also, the closer you are to The Strip the cheaper the Uber or Lyft will be. We stayed at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, because it’s centrally located. We also had tickets for a show on Saturday night that was located at the Planet Hollywood Theatre. A Lyft ride from the airport to Planet Hollywood was $9.00.

Tip #2- If it’s only two of you, split the room, and split the early check in fee. This is a way to save money. We decided to take advantage of the early check in. We arrived around 11:00 am and we wanted a place to put our bags and freshen up.

Giada’s Las Vegas, Nevada

After we checked in, we headed out to lunch. There’s one thing you need to know about me. I plan my trip itinerary around my meals. I’m such a foodie that I already know the location of where I’m going to eat each of my meals before I arrive at my destination. Anybody else does that, or is it just me? We ate lunch at Giada’s. Giada De Laurentiis has a restaurant inside the Cromwell. This place is gorgeous, from the décor to the views of the Bellagio fountains and Caesars Palace. The food is delicious. I had the spaghetti and a salad. Racheal had the Spaghetti and meatballs, with focaccia bread. We both had a Giada Sangria: prosecco, fresh lemon, lime strawberries with mojito mint syrup. The prices are reasonable. We paid under $60 for our lunch for the two of us.

After lunch, we walked around for a bit, but the heat was too much for us. We had a wonderful time shopping at the Miracle Mile Shops (Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort). Then we tried our luck at the slots and we won around $200.

Gordon Ramsay Burger Las Vegas, Nevada

After resting for a bit, it was time for dinner. My next pick for dinner is Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. I’ve been a fan of Gordon Ramsay for years. I knew the next time I’m in Vegas I have to try one of his restaurants. We both ordered the backyard burger (American cheese, butter lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion) and fries. The patties are cooked over an open flame so they are very juicy. The fries are hand cut and extra crispy. This is another restaurant I will recommend.

Wahlburgers Las Vegas, Nevada

The next day we woke up around lunch time, it felt so good to sleep in and not have to cook breakfast for anyone. For lunch we ate at Wahlburgers. It’s located at 3635 Las Vegas Blvd, South Unit 100. We both ordered the “Our Burger” with fries and a spiked strawberry lemonade. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very relaxed.

Bellagio Las Vegas, Nevada

After lunch we went to the Bellagio. If you have an hour and want to do a free activity, visit the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The scenery changes every season. There are fresh flowers everywhere you look. Take your camera and enjoy the flower arrangements. While we were at Bellagio, we stopped by the Guiness World’s Record for the largest chocolate fountain. It’s free to see and the café has excellent macarons and pastries.

Bellagio Las Vegas, Nevada

After our day of eating and sightseeing we bought tickets to see Jennifer Lopez perform. We went on the last month of her Vegas residency and she performed an excellent show. If you ever have a chance to see her live, don’t miss out.

Jennifer Lopez All I Have Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino

This girls trip weekend was fun and exciting. We ate at some great restaurants and saw a once in a lifetime performance. I hope this inspires you to plan a girl’s trip weekend, soon. Does anyone have a girl’s trip planned? Where are you going? Leave a comment below.
